Professor Barbara Sahakian was invited to write an article for Sir John Beddington, the Chief Scientific Advisor to the previous government, on the subject of achieving brain health for a flourishing society within the next decade. This work required integration and expertise from a range of areas, including neuroscience, innovation and technology. Experts from these fields contributed their knowledge and ideas to the final article, which can be accessed here.
Professor Sahakian also wrote a short piece about the article for The Conversation, and on the 29th May she participated in a two hour online question-and-answer session with the public about this work on Reddit. A summary of this session can be found here.
