On 5th September some of the NSPN Team will be running The Spartan Race – a 5km obstacle course – to raise money for Centre 33.
Centre 33 is a local charity which provides counselling, advice and support for young people across Cambridgeshire.
According to a Christina Maurice, a member of the team: “Centre 33 provides a service which we regularly sign-post our participants to and have known many young people who have found their help invaluable. As a Cambridge-based charity and one linked closely to the patients and participants we work with on a daily basis, the NSPN RAs felt that this was a perfect opportunity to support a cause so close to our hearts. So for one day only we will be braving the mud and obstacles of the Spartan Race for this very good cause – please sponsor us so our struggle is not in vain!”
The team can be sponsored directly at www.justgiving.com/NSPN-Team or by using the paper sponsorship forms and collection boxes making their way around the department. There will also be a bake sale and other fundraising activities planned for August.
