End of energy study party!
In September we held our Energy Study Party at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Thank you so much to everyone who was able to make it, we hope you had a good time and enjoyed all the food – we did! We are very close to finishing the energy study now as we have done really well and almost reached our target of 30 people.
The next thing to concentrate on is the muscle study, so far we have had 16 volunteers for this study and we would like to get just a few more if we can – so if you are interested please let us know! In December, Kate will be spending 3 months in Newcastle looking at the results of this study.
We are looking forward to being able to give you some feedback on the results of these studies, hopefully by around this time next year. Thanks again for all your help!!

The energy study has been really busy so far and 23 fantastic people have volunteered to take part. 16 people have been to the hospital and had their skeletons photographed and exercised on the running machine for us – we hope they all had fun doing this! We have also seen 11 of these volunteers again when they had their leg scanned in the special scanner.
We still need a few more volunteers for our study. If you are over 18 years old and have Down’s syndrome, or know somebody who is and would like to get involved, please give us a call, we would love to hear from you!
We will keep updating our progress on this website, so keep checking to see how we are getting on!
