The IC-ADAPT Consortium was created to advance ongoing research, development and testing of the IC-ADAPT framework and interventions. Integrating two interdisciplinary, evidence-based models, the ecosocial IC-ADAPT model is applicable across the lifecycle and has validity across cultures and contexts.
IC-ADAPT bridges individuals and family groups with structures and systems through a community focus within a public mental health promotion-wellbeing framework.
The IC-ADAPT model is being used as an analytical framework in a study examining destructive social polarisation, zero-sum mindsets, democratic values, social ties, and public mental health, including COVID-related experiences, through a large online survey in a large European city.
The ‘IC-ADAPT-SEL high-level framework’ is an adaptation of the IC-ADAPT model designed for social and emotional learning (SEL) programmatic support within a MHPSS framework in educational settings for refugees, migrants, displaced and other vulnerable learners in challenging contexts (Boyd-MacMillan and DeMarinis, 2020; UNICEF-Cambridge-Microsoft partnership, The Learning Passport, Cambridge University Press and Cambridge Assessment ).
The IC-ADAPT model is being instantiated in a pilot intervention for feasibility testing as part of a multi-disciplinary EU-funded H2020 DRIVE project spanning four countries.
