Biography
Dr Nord directs the Mental Health Neuroscience Lab at the University of Cambridge (nordlab.co.uk). Her lab innovates new approaches to mental health treatment, including pharmacological, psychological, and neurostimulation interventions, with a particular expertise in brain-body and metabolic neuroscience. Her lab is currently funded by MRC intramural funding, a Wellcome Career Development Award, and a Wellcome Mental Health Award. Camilla is the recipient of numerous international awards, and is also widely known for her public communication of neuroscience, including her first book, The Balanced Brain: The Science of Mental Health (Penguin, 2023), a Sunday Times and Financial Times Book of the Year.
