Research Group: Child and Adolescent Resilience and Mental Health (ChARM)
Biography
I am a Chartered Psychologist with a background in clinical neuropsychology and clinical psychology. After completing my PhD in 2004, I have balanced my time between academic research and clinical practice working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. I am a mixed-method researcher specialising in developing, evaluating, and implementing complex interventions in community and healthcare settings.
My current research is focused on children and adolescent mental health. I am particularly interested in school mental health, the early identification of mental health difficulties, and the development and evaluation of programmes supporting young people’s mental health and wellbeing. I explore the use of new technologies to deliver personalised, adaptive interventions that aim to improve mental health and facilitate access to care.
