Dr Sippy is interested in strengthening data resources for public health and ensuring that the right data are available to inform improvements in population health.
Dr Sippy advocates for clear and high-quality teaching and communication regarding epidemiology, data, and statistics, both in formal classrooms and to the general public. Examples include public outreach events, developing clinical guidelines, and courses/workshops on computing for epidemiology/statistics, statistical modelling, machine learning, data management, and data visualization. She also serves as co-chair of the Communications Committee of the Society for Epidemiologic Research.
