Biography

Charlotte is a MPhil in Medical Science (Psychiatry) by thesis candidate. Charlotte has a first class degree in Psychology with Professional Placement, and completed her year-long placement in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge. During this time, Charlotte contributed to the co-creation of a Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) community, namely the Children and Adolescents: Research Involvement for the Next Generation (CA:RING). For her final year dissertation, she conducted a mixed-methods analysis to evaluate the impact of the CA:RING PPIE community on researchers and members of the public. Charlotte is passionate about involving the public in healthcare research, especially those from marginalised communities. Charlotte's current MPhil project aims to explore patient and public involvement and engagement perspectives on digitally supported mental health pathways for children and adolescents, with a focus on under-served groups. Throughout this project, she will continue working closely with the CA:RING PPIE group to support the development of AI-driven digital tools for child and adolescent mental health.
