Sixun Hou

Sixun is currently an MPhil Medical Science student at the department of psychiatry. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Wenzhou-Kean University in China. Before coming to Cambridge, he gained both academic and professional experience in psychiatric hospitals and biomedical healthcare consultancy. His primary research interests are interoception and heartbeat evoked potential (ERP) in psychiatric disorders, computational models of predictive coding in homeostasis and allostasis, and psychedelic therapy in mental disorder treatments. He aspires to combine transdiagnostic markers and computational algorithms to enhance precision medicine in psychiatric practice in a cross-cultural environment and marginal areas.
